ZWO AM5
a good product let down by a poor P.A mechanism...
having owned an AM5 (and now AM5N) for several months now I am generally happy with the quality and performance of the products.my only complaint is with the alt/az adjustment mechanism for attaining Polar Alignment.
I find that the coarseness of the threads on both axes to be a barrier to a quick and accurate alignment, particularly in the Alt which suffers from
significant backlash when changing direction, this especially leads to a challenge to get the Alt accurately aligned.
I hope in future ZWO works on this to make P.A easier and more accurate.
